World Rabies Day Campaign
A single-day, FCT-wide push of free vaccination, awareness walks, and school outreach on 28 September.
Marked every year on 28 September, World Rabies Day is the department's biggest single-day push: free vaccination stations in every Area Council, awareness walks, school visits, and radio spots on bite prevention and what to do after a dog bite.
The day is also used to catch animals that were missed during the year-round Mass ARV Drive, and to distribute printed guidance on rabies symptoms in animals and humans.
